Together, But Apart

We're here to help change lives. We still stand together, just a bit further away than normal.

For the safety and well-being of our donors and staff, we've modified our plasma donation visit procedures to include additional safety measures. Here are a few of the adjustments you'll notice at your next plasma donation:

  • Adjusted appointment times to accommodate change

  • Updated layout of waiting room, lobby, and hallway seating to help with social distancing

  • Increased space between screening stations

  • Added extra space between eDQ kiosks

  • Temporary closure of playroom

Even Cleaner

When it comes to providing a safe and clean environment for plasma donations, no one does it like BioLife Plasma Services.

In addition to our already rigorous cleaning protocol, here are a few of the practices we're now implementing under the guidelines of world health experts:

  • Hourly cleaning of high touch points throughout the center such as screening stations, electronic donor questionnaires (eDQs), touch screens, finger scanners and headphones

  • Daily disinfecting of high touch points such as the lobby, drinking fountains, bathrooms, donor beds and breakroom

Prechecks

Immediately upon arrival, all donors and staff will be checked for fever and undergo basic screening to limit infectious diseases, including coronavirus, as much as possible.

Mask Up

We require donors and staff to wear face masks at all times while inside the facility. We encourage donors to bring their own face masks, but a limited number of disposable masks will be available at each facility.  Valved Face Masks, Neck Gaiters/Spandex, and/or Bandanas are no longer allowed

Adjustments

We've adjusted our schedules to limit the number of donors in the center at one time, so that we can all safely socially distance.

Keep Smiling

Even though things may look and feel a bit different for a while, keep in mind your plasma is still being used to help countless people with rare diseases. That's worth being excited about, and we look forward to seeing your smiling face (behind the mask, of course) very soon.

Change lives by donating plasma now.

Plasma donations are urgently needed, now more than ever, to ensure others continue to receive life-saving plasma therapies. Confidently donate plasma at BioLife knowing that your safety is our top priority.
